It's all over. The Memorial Bridge has been completely destroyed. I was unsuccessful in convincing them not to expunge it... but made a more successful effort to keep something else.

Remember this sign from the old Memorial Bridge? The aesthetic of that 20's typeface compelled me to preserve it, since many of these old typefaces have been lost and will never be digitized. Using some reference photos I had taken [unknowingly for this purpose...], I digitized the letters I had from the sign and sketched out the other 14 letters using patterns and measurements taken from the original sign.
