Goodbye, Memorial Bridge
![]()
Almost ironically, the old Liberty Memorial Bridge is going to be blown up. And unfortunately, the replacement bridge is characterless and plain, like the rest of the newly “improved” Bismarck. The old one is beautiful, rusty, and imperfect. The whole scene is a sad sight to watch.
Sometimes you win…
Sometimes you fail.
But don’t worry too much or get too preoccupied with that thought, because you can always be replaced.
Walk Main Campaign
Do you spend every Friday night aimlessly wasting gas on Main Av.?
Neither do I, but the attempt at a time and place where people come together for free is appreciated. Walk Main reforms that idea of draggin’ main, and it’s as simple its name.
Some group members pick up trash, take pictures, ride skateboards/bikes, or just walk and talk. Bring your self, your dog, parents, your camera, and your fresh vibe.
Credits go to Alexander Blair for his hard work in getting this campaign going. Here’s the site I made.
Every Friday, 9:30pm, Main Av., Bismarck.
Please park in public parking areas.
Urban Harvest
Bismarck’s open-air market and friendly neighborhood revolution begins this Thursday on 4th and Broadway. The Harvest is a rare occasion for Bismarck; where local artists, farmers, and good souls join together. My friend Jim Kambeitz made a great documentary that’s worth a look.
I’m playing guitar on the 31st at 1:00pm. A few other Harvest shows to check out:
Jive Bandits July 10th, 6:00pm
The Public Market July 24th, 8:00pm
Fatdad August 14th, 6:00pm
Trip
New experiences often leave you with opportunities, enhanced perspective, and sometimes a grand finale; that is, when you can find what you were looking for.
